This 40-hour course will address the various duties and responsibilities associated with the assignment as a Tactical Team Commander.
Topics include:
- Leadership
- Tactical case reviews
- Penal Code 13514.1
- Liability
- Mission planning and review
- POST SWAT Operational Guidelines and Standardized Training Recommendations
- Public perception
Student Requirements:
- A laptop computer to review documents and prepare presentations.
- A copy of the agency's SWAT policies and procedures/guidelines.
- Acopy of the agency's threat assessment matrix.
